Visit to SOS village Bangalore

Visited SOS Village, Bangalore yesterday,very first visit to such place , such a unique experience, full of strong emotions...enjoyed a lot with children , conducted various games/activities along with 9 other colleagues of mine...an important initiative by HDFC bank corporate social responsibility wing. 




Something about SOS movement and SOS village. 

SOS Children's Villages take action for children as an independent non-governmental social organization. They respect varying religions and cultures, and they work in countries and communities where their mission can contribute to development. SOS work in the spirit of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and they promote these rights around the world. With the SOS Children's Village concept, this organization pioneered a family approach to the long-term care of orphaned and abandoned children. 

SOS Village-Bangalore 

SOS Children's Village Bangalore is a loving home for 289 children, 154 boys and 135 girls living in 16 family homes, 2 youth houses, boarding schools and hostels. This year 12 new children came home to the Children's Village. The village is well equipped with social amenities and educational&medical facilities
